Former "Ajax" and Netherlands national team player John Heitinga has been appointed as the head coach of the Amsterdam club.
Idman.biz reports that a contract has been signed with the 41-year-old specialist until June 30, 2027.
Heitinga served as the head coach of "Ajax" from January to June 2023, and then worked in Arne Slot's coaching staff at "Liverpool".
Francesco Farioli left the position of head coach as the Amsterdam club lost first place at the end of the championship last season and finished second in the Eredivisie.
