"Ajax" management is negotiating with John Heitinga. Sport24.az reports that insider Fabrizio Romano shared about this on the X social network.
41-year-old Heitinga is Arne Slot's assistant at Liverpool. The English representative has allowed the specialist to negotiate with the Amsterdam club. The Dutchman already coached "Ajax" in 2023.
The Amsterdam club initially hoped for the return of Erik ten Hag, who coached the team from 2017-2022, to the head coach position. However, he considered "Bayer"'s offer.
Note that "Ajax" finished the 2024/25 season as vice-champion and qualified for the general stage of the Champions League.
