Spanish national team and Barcelona player Aitana Bonmati has stated that winning her third Ballon d'Or is of great importance.
Idman.biz reports that she emphasized that this success is not only a personal achievement, but also important for the development of women's football:
"In men's football, Johan Cruyff, Michel Platini and Marco van Basten managed to do this. I especially take Cruyff as an example and wear number 14 because of everything he represents in Barcelona."
