"There have been enough refereeing errors this season. Previously, referees prepared themselves physically and had difficulties with salaries. Now, AFFA has created all the necessary conditions. There is even a fitness coach, and the fees are paid on time." Agaselim Mircavadov said this in an interview with Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist spoke about the refereeing error in the "Zira" - "Neftchi" match held within the 28th round of the Misli Premier League and touched upon the performance of the representatives of justice in the current season:
"The referee can make a mistake, he is also human. The main thing is that there is no bias. There is also a difference between mistakes: this can happen in the center of the field, in an out or corner kick episode. However, in cases such as offside, VAR can intervene and in such cases mistakes should be minimized. These mistakes are not only against "Neftchi". We love the flagship very much, this is our history. We want it to perform in European cups every season. I say this sincerely. In order to play in Europe, you need to take a worthy place in the Azerbaijani championship. The best conditions in our country are in "Neftchi". There is a base, a playground. A normal team has been formed. It remains to play well. It can be said that there is a referee error every round. There are 6 rounds ahead and "Neftchi" must answer everyone with its game".
It should be noted that in the match in question, although "Neftchi" was 1:0 ahead, the home team equalized the score in the 90+5th minute. "Neftchi" side and fans protested to the referee, stating that there was a foul in "Zira"'s response goal.
As a result, Yuri Vernidub, the head coach of "Neftchi", and his assistant Dmitro Kara Mustafa were shown a red card for protesting the referee's decision.
