The game against "Benfica" in the first round of the main stage of the UEFA Youth League will be a good experience for the football players and head coach of "Qarabag" U-19 team.
Aftandil Hajiyev, the coordinator of the Agdam representative's academy, told "Report" about it.
He shared his thoughts on the team's match against this opponent in Portugal:
"U-19 has already played a friendly and a championship match. We have involved two Nigerian football players in the squad. They will not play in the first round because their Schengen visas have not been resolved. We will fight with our own players in the match against Benfica."
The 44-year-old specialist said that they watched the opponent's last matches:
"It is a quality team. If we play without hesitation, we can fight against them. Benfica's work today is obvious. They have one of the most distinguished academies in the world. They train high-level players. I have visited this club's academy before, and I have information about the conditions and working principles. This meeting will be a good experience for our football players and coaches. We have a lot to gain in this regard."
It should be noted that the "Benfica" - "Qarabag" match will start on September 16 at 14:00 Baku time.
