Senegal national team coach Pape Thiaw filmed a video from a military base holding the Africa Cup of Nations trophy after Morocco was declared the winner of the tournament.
İdman.Biz reports that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) had earlier upheld Morocco's appeal. CAF awarded Senegal a 3-0 technical defeat for abandoning the field after a penalty was awarded in the 90+8th minute for a foul on Brahim Diaz in the Africa Cup of Nations final. The match resumed 13 minutes later and ended with a 1-0 victory for the Senegalese national team in extra time.
The Senegalese government later condemned CAF's decision and demanded an investigation into corruption within the sports confederation.
