AFFA: The pitch of the Shamakhi stadium is ready for games, has FIFA certificate

The current state of the grass cover of the Shamakhi city stadium is suitable for holding championship games.

This was stated by Fuad Jafarov, director of the Infrastructure Department of AFFA, in an interview with "Report".

The official of the organization stated that despite the fact that several teams host their home games at the stadium, the condition of the field fully meets the requirements:

"Currently, the main and lower age groups of "Shamakhi" teams hold their home games and training sessions at the Shamakhi city stadium. At the same time, "Imishli" and "Karvan-Yevlakh", who play in the Misli Premier League, also hosted their rivals at this stadium. Despite the large number of games and training sessions, the current state of the grass cover of the Shamakhi city stadium is suitable for holding championship games and fully meets the standards. On August 25, the grass cover was accredited by FIFA. It was checked by the laboratory that carries out the verification of the compliance of artificial turf systems with FIFA's quality, safety and performance standards. According to the results of the tests, the current condition of the field fully meets the requirements of "FIFA Quality", which is a quality certificate applied to artificial turf."

It should be noted that "Karvan-Yevlakh" and "Shamakhi" are currently holding their home games at the mentioned stadium. Until the IV round, "Imishli" also hosted its rivals at the Shamakhi city stadium. The regional representative has been holding its home games at the stadium of the Guba Olympic Sports Complex since the IV round.
