Kifayat Mustafayeva, AFFA's Social Environment Sustainability Manager and Azerbaijan coordinator of the SCALE project, along with trainers Gulyana Ozcan and Ofelia Gafarova, participated in the international conference in Malta.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the official website of AFFA that the event organized by the Malta Football Federation took place in the newly commissioned headquarters for national teams in Attard.
During the conference, the delegation made presentations on the successful implementation of the project in Azerbaijan, field activities, and the implementation of school programs based on the "dual career" model. The event discussed the current situation, achievements, and action plan for the next stages between the project's partner countries – Azerbaijan, Romania, Italy, Moldova, and Malta. The main goal of the SCALE project is to support the academic development of young football players in addition to their sports activities, and to create conditions for them to continue their school lessons and training process in parallel with football training. The project aims to develop a "dual career" model aimed at maintaining a balance between education and sports for young people.
It should be noted that the SCALE project has been implemented by AFFA since 2023, and during this period, 10 schools and 5 clubs (including boys and girls football players) have been involved in the project.
