In accordance with AFFA's child football development strategy, the next meeting within the framework of academy visits carried out in the "Needs Analysis and Support for Academy Development" process was held at the "Araz-Nakhchivan" academy. Sport24.az reports with reference to AFFA that during the visit, extensive discussions were held with the director of the academy, Sakit Rzayev, and the current activities and future development prospects were reviewed in detail.
The following issues were discussed at the meeting:
• The academy's current infrastructure capabilities;
• Opportunities for holding regular seasonal competitions in the Nakhchivan region;
• Activity model by age groups;
• Organization of the training process and methodological approaches;
• The role of the academy in the development of regional football;
• Long-term development vision and structuring perspectives.
It was noted that there is interest and potential for football in Nakhchivan, and it is important to systematically develop this potential.
An agreement was reached between the parties on the phased improvement of the academy's activities, taking structural steps in the direction of management and programming, as well as preparing a future development plan. The visit is part of the ongoing process of forming a unified and sustainable academy model in the regions.
