Italian specialist Gianni De Biasi may once again lead the Azerbaijan national team.
According to Idman.biz, citing insider Gianluca Di Marzio, AFFA is considering his candidacy after parting ways with Fernando Santos.
Di Marzio writes: "De Biasi is already familiar with Azerbaijani football: he coached the national team from July 2020 to November 2023. Now the federation can rely on the Italian's experience and knowledge of the team."
It should be reminded that De Biasi coached the Azerbaijani national team from July 30, 2020 to November 22, 2023.
Fernando Santos left the post of head coach of the national team after 9 defeats and 2 draws. Under his leadership, the team never managed to win.
