The appeal of the "Turan Tovuz" club has been partially granted.
"Report" informs that the AFFA Appeals Arbitration Tribunal has made a decision on this matter.
Based on the investigations, Kurban Berdyev's actions were qualified under Article 53.1 of the AFFA Disciplinary Code. Therefore, the head coach of the "Turan Tovuz" team was disqualified for 3 games, and the club itself was fined 6,000 manats.
It should be noted that on February 5 last year, in the 64th minute of the first match of the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup, "Turan Tovuz" - "Kapaz", Kurban Berdyev received a direct red card for pushing the referee, and then insulted the referees.
Therefore, the AFFA Disciplinary Committee disqualified the coach for 4 games and fined "Turan Tovuz" 10,000 manats.
By the decision of the Appeals Arbitration Tribunal, that decision was canceled and the punishment was reduced. The appeal was not granted in the remaining part.
The parties were also informed that it is possible to appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
