In accordance with AFFA's child football development strategy, a review of the academies of the capital clubs was conducted within the framework of the "Needs Analysis and Support for Academy Development" process.
Idman.Biz reports that within the framework of the project, the current state, teaching methodology, and infrastructure capabilities of the "Sabah", "Qarabag", and "Neftchi" academies were closely monitored.
As a result of the meetings held, the following innovations are expected to be implemented in the activities of the academies in the near future:
- Full adaptation of existing training processes to international standards and transition to a player-oriented development methodology;
- Ensuring the methodological consistency of the transition stages from small age groups to the main team;
- Building the transition process from academy to professional footballer stage on a more systematic and measurable criteria;
- Application of new structural approaches to clarify the division of roles in academies and more effectively utilize the potential of personnel.
The comprehensive analyses carried out will form the basis of the new Academy Standards to be implemented in the near future.
