"Sabail" still has a chance to become champion in the Azerbaijan I League.

This was stated to "Report" by Adil Shukurov, the head coach of the mentioned team.

The specialist assessed the game against the leader "Shafa", which they faced on the XIV round yesterday:

"We knew in advance that the game would be difficult. Because we were playing against the leader of the tournament table. We analyzed the strengths of "Shafa". Although we had some scoring opportunities in the middle of the first half, unfortunately, we could not take advantage of them. Although we couldn't score, we implemented what we planned during the match. Our main goal was not to stay out of the championship race. For this, it was important for us to earn points. Our chances of winning the championship have not been lost."

A. Shukurov thinks that the team will perform better after the injured players return to the team:

"We are thinking about the upcoming games. There are injured players in the team. We are waiting for them to return to the line-up. Currently, there is congestion in the tournament table, the teams are very close to each other. This makes the championship fight even more interesting. God willing, we want to finish the next games with a victory with the full squad."
