Adil Shukurov, the head coach of "Sabail", who was penalized for four games by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee, did not insult the referees.
The 48-year-old specialist said this while clarifying what happened in the 20th round of the Azerbaijan First League against "Baku Sporting".
"Some things happened in the game. What happened creates nervousness and stress in a person. There were some episodes I didn't like, decisions were made. Naturally, I expressed my dissatisfaction. No harsh words were used, no swearing was used at all. But they took it and added it to the protocol, saying that I said bad words. There is no video of that situation, no proof. There is nothing to say, the referees make decisions as they wish, and we suffer the consequences. All these events pile up and make a person nervous," he said in his statement to report.az.
It should be noted that Adil Shukurov was penalized for insulting the referees after receiving a second yellow card in the 65th minute of the game in question. The club was fined 3,000 manats for this action. In addition, the team's fans also voiced abusive expressions to the referees en masse. "Sabail" lost 1,500 manats for this.
