Achraf Hakimi has been named "African Player of the Year".
Idman.Biz reports that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced this on its social media platform.
Last season, the Moroccan defender won the Champions League, French League, French Cup and French Super Cup with PSG. In addition, the Parisians, with Hakimi in the squad, reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup held in the USA. The defender played 55 games in all competitions for the Parisians, scoring 11 goals and providing 14 assists.
Hakimi is currently recovering from a left ankle injury.
