A new stage has begun in the long-standing investigation involving PSG and Moroccan national team star footballer Achraf Hakimi. The judge has decided to refer the case to criminal court in connection with the incident that occurred in 2023.
İdman.Biz reports that the incident took place in February 2023 in one of the towns around Paris, at the footballer's home. According to the indictment, a young woman, then 24 years old, met Hakimi on social media. The woman claims that when she visited the footballer's house, Hakimi ignored her protests and committed violent acts.
The judge considered the evidence gathered to be sufficient and sent the case to the court for serious crimes. According to French law, if found guilty under this article, the Moroccan defender faces a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
It should be noted that Achraf Hakimi and his lawyers have denied all charges from the first day, stating that this is an attempt at blackmail. The PSG club is showing support for the player until the official court process is completed.
