"The coaching staff and my teammates played a big role in my adaptation to 'Sumgayit'."
These words were said by Abdul Raşid Mumini, a football player of the "chemists", in his statement to "Futbolpress.az". The winger, who has been injured for a while, said that his condition is getting better:
"I feel very good now. I hope my recovery process will be completed soon."
The 20-year-old football player, who joined the team this summer, spoke about his adaptation to the team and the level of the Azerbaijan Premier League:
"My adaptation process went well. My teammates and coaches helped a lot in this. I thank everyone. The Azerbaijan Premier League is very interesting. Both away and home games are going well. There is competition, you face serious resistance in every match. Here, you can't easily predict who will win from the beginning."
Rashid touched upon the goals of the team and himself:
"We are having a great season. We have potential and we can do even better. As for my goal, my goal is to play in European Cups. For this, we must show good results with the team and get a European ticket. Sumgayit is a football city, they love football here. Sumgayit is also a beautiful city and the people are very friendly."
The defender, who is also a member of the Benin national team, also commented on their failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup:
"We were getting good results in the qualifying round. But at the last moment we could not qualify for the World Cup. These are also part of football. I hope we can do it in the coming years."
