The match "Qarabağ" – "Araz-Nakhchivan" (5:1) of the 15th round of the Misli Premier League was marked by a historical anniversary. Sport24.az reports with reference to the PFL website that this match went down in the history of Azerbaijani championships as the 6000th match held in the top division.
Before this game, the results of 5999 matches were reflected in the tournament tables. 279 of the 6000 matches went down in history as technical results.
The national championships, which have been held since 1992, started on May 3 of that year. The first two of the 34th season tournament were held in the spring-autumn system, and later in the autumn-spring system. The 2001/02 and 2019/20 seasons were interrupted.
It should be noted that 86 matches have been held in the current season, one of which went down in history as a technical result.
