Changes have been made in the Turkish national team squad ahead of the play-off match with Romania in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that 6 players have been excluded from the squad.

Muhammed Şengezer, Ahmetcan Kaplan, Merih Demiral, Zeki Çelik, Mustafa Eskihellaç and Semih Kılıçsoy were not included in the match participation list.
It should be noted that the match between Turkey and Romania will be held today and will start at 21:00 Baku time. The winner of the pair will face the winner of the Slovakia-Kosovo match in the final.
