The Turkish national team will face Kosovo in the final match of the play-off stage to qualify for the World Cup. Sport24.az reports that 5 footballers will not participate in the historic match to be held in Pristina.
Defender Merih Demiral is injured. Goalkeeper Muhammed Şengezer, defenders Ahmedcan Kaplan and Mustafa Eskihellaç, and winger Oğuz Aydın were not included in the match application by head coach Vincenzo Montella.
The Kosovo - Turkey match will be held tonight at 22:45 Baku time at the "Fadil Vokrri" Stadium.
It should be noted that the Turkish national team last participated in the World Cup held in Japan and South Korea in 2022. The final stage of the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
