Based on the results of the English Premier League, five English clubs will qualify for the main stage of the UEFA Champions League in the 2026/27 season.
Idman.Biz reports that English clubs have earned an extra spot in next season's premier European club competition thanks to Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Sporting in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
It is worth recalling that as the main stage of the Champions League has been expanded to 36 teams, two additional places will be given to teams from the countries with the most UEFA coefficient points. Arsenal's victory brings the total points of English clubs to 25.013 in the 2025/26 season. Germany and Spain will compete for the other spot.
Liverpool is currently in fifth place in the Premier League standings with 49 points. They are followed by Chelsea (48 points), Brentford and Everton (46 points each).
