The main trophy of the 2026 World Cup was delivered to the US capital today.
Idman.Biz reports that the trophy was delivered to Washington before the 2026 World Cup group stage draw to be held on Friday, December 5.
It was previously reported that former athletes Rio Ferdinand, Shaquille O'Neal and Wayne Gretzky will participate in the draw.
The tournament itself will be held in three countries - the USA, Canada and Mexico. The first game of the competition will be held on June 11, 2026. The championship will end with the final match scheduled for July 19. For the first time in the history of the tournament, 48 teams divided into 12 groups will participate in the final stage.
