Rebin Moradi, a 17-year-old footballer from the youth team of Iran's "Saipa" club, was shot during protests in the country.
Lent.az reports that this was reported on the website of the "Hengaw" human rights non-governmental organization.
It is noted that Moradi was killed in Tehran.
Moradi played for the "Saipa" team of the Tehran Youth League.
Protests have been ongoing in Iran since December 28, and there is dissatisfaction with the country's economic situation. Currently, it is difficult to determine the exact number of people injured or killed during the protests, as internet and mobile phone services have been suspended within the country.
According to the latest confirmed data from the Human Rights Activists News Agency, as of January 12, 646 people, including 133 security personnel, died during the suppression of the protests, and more than 10,000 protesters were arrested. Another human rights organization, Iran Human Rights, reports that 648 protesters were killed.
