In Turkey, an arrest warrant has been issued for 21 suspects, including 17 judges and the president of a Super League team, as part of an investigation into illegal betting in football.
İdman.Biz reports, citing Turkish media, that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has released this information.
The official statement noted that, considering the judges' public positions, the investigation is evaluating whether their betting activities constitute a breach of their official duties. At the same time, the financial value of these games is being compared with the income the judges have earned from this activity and their other personal income.
