11,500 football players have registered to participate in the leagues organized by AFFA this season.
Emin Jafarov, Head of the Competition Organization Department of the National Association, announced this in an interview with "Report".
According to him, the newly applying teams are usually in the U-8 – U-14 leagues:
"Because there is more mass participation in these leagues. For this season, 11,500 football players have registered to participate in the competitions, 80% of which are in the lower leagues. Many new teams have applied to participate in the competitions this season. I can say that their number is about 35 in total across the country."
