The 2025/26 season of the Misli Premier League was marked by the debut of 101 footballers in the tournament. 17 of them are local, and 84 are foreign players.
Idman.Biz reports that the Professional Football League has released information regarding these statistics.
"Gabala" and "Karvan-Yevlakh" had the most debuts – 14 each. "Imishli" 13, "Kapaz", "Neftchi" and "Shamakhi" each gave 10 new players the opportunity to play their first match in the Premier League.
"Sumgayit" 8, "Sabah" 7, "Qarabag" 6, "Turan Tovuz" and "Araz-Nakhchivan" gave 4 debutants each a chance. "Zira" had the fewest – only 1 such player appeared on the field.
Local footballers debuted in only 6 out of 12 clubs. "Gabala" is the leader in this indicator – 5 players. "Shamakhi" had 4, "Imishli" 3, "Kapaz" and "Karvan-Yevlakh" 2 each, and "Sumgayit" 1 Azerbaijani player got a debut chance.
