Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has released an official statement regarding his long-awaited return. The Irish fighter made this decision after his legal battle with former friend and sparring partner Artem Lobov over the "Proper No. Twelve" whiskey brand came to an end.
Idman.Biz, citing the publication "Mirror", reports that the statement read by McGregor's lawyer, Mark Lynem, confirmed that the athlete will fight this summer.
Conor said in his statement:
"I am pleased that the matter has been resolved and I can now focus all my attention on training and my fight this summer. I thank Artem for his hard work in my whiskey business."
According to reports, McGregor's return is scheduled for July 11, 2026. He is expected to fight in Las Vegas as part of the traditional "International Fight Week".
It should be noted that this will be Conor's first MMA fight since suffering a serious injury in his fight against Dustin Poirier in 2021.
