The president of the Italian Basketball Federation, Gianni Petrucci, has expressed his admiration for the creation of a European Basketball League under the auspices of the NBA. He also announced that the management of "Manchester United" will participate in the project and create a basketball team. Sport24.az reports that the Italian functionary spoke about this to "Corriere dello Sport":
"This will benefit the system and will be a new league that everyone will welcome with interest. The agreement also stipulates that registered clubs participate in their national leagues.
The NBA League will create a wide opportunity to increase competitiveness and discover talent. If "Manchester United", the most popular football team in the world, has already agreed to participate in the NBA League, there must be a reason for this".
