Today, Azerbaijan's women's 3x3 basketball team will start competing in the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Idman.Biz reports that the team will play two games in the group stage.
The team will face the hosts at 17:00 Baku time. The next match will be against the Turkish national team at 21:10.
The Azerbaijani national handball team will clarify relations with the Kazakhstan team. The group match will start at 14:00 Baku time.
Taekwondo players Nargiz Kazimova (63 kg), Riyad Shiraliyev (67 kg) and Eltaj Gafarov (+83 kg) will step onto the daeng.
Para-athlete Samir Nabiyev (F57) will try to show his skills in shot put, and athlete Yekaterina Sariyeva in triple jump.
Ruslan Hasanov, Vahab Fatullayev in fencing's epee type, Palina Kaspiarovich and Sabina Karimova in sabre type will compete.
It should be noted that the Islamic Games will end on November 21. Azerbaijan is in the 9th place in the medal standings with 42 medals (5 gold, 14 silver, 23 bronze).
