Defender Nikolas Otamendi has announced his retirement from the Argentina national team. Sport24.az reports that the footballer shared this on his social media account.
Otamendi made his debut for Argentina in 2009. He scored 8 goals in 139 games for the national team. His last game for the team was in the DC-2026 final against Spain (0-1).
Note that the 38-year-old defender won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina. He also won the America Cup twice with "albiceleste".
