In the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Basketball League, "Absheron Lions" defeated "Shaki" in the second match as well (105:94) and qualified for the semi-finals. Sport24.az reports that Erhan Toker, the head coach of "Absheron Lions", shared his thoughts about the match after the game.
"First of all, I thank the players of both teams for a good fight. The season ended today for "Shaki", but they fought very well. Our team could not use the services of injured Jalen Shaw and sick Aubri McCalpay. We played a little without defense at the beginning of the game. That is, we were poorly defended. Nevertheless, our performance in attack was good and we maintained the balance. After the game, we tried to improve the game in defense and the difference was created. After that, we played to protect the score. We are happy, of course, that we qualified for the "Final Four". Now we will wait for our opponent. We want to finish the championship at the highest point as much as we can. Once again, I thank all the teams that played in the play-offs," he said.
