It was reported that Ziya Babashov, in the 63 kg weight category in Greco-Roman wrestling, defeated Japan's Miruto Tokuhiga 7:1 and Iran's Mohammad Navid 3:1. Later, in the meeting with Russian Dordji Shungurtsikov (UWW), Babashov, who was superior based on the principle of the first point with a score of 1:1, advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Ziya Babashov will face Turkey's Servet Angi.
In the 77 kg weight category, Davud Mammadov lost to Hungarian Levente Levai 0:5 in the qualifying round.
In the 87 kg category, Lachin Valiyev lost to Iranian Gulamreza Farukhisencan 0:8 in the qualifying round.
In the 130 kg weight category, Aykhan Mardanov won against Chinese Shuangyu Chen with a "fall" and advanced to the 1/4 finals. However, he lost to Russian Aleksandr Melekhov (UWW) 0:9 in this stage.
