Members of the Azerbaijan U-17 Greco-Roman wrestling team continued their fight at the European Championship held in Samokov, Bulgaria.
Idman.Biz reports that Ali Javadli, competing in the 45 kg weight category, lost to Ukrainian Vladislav Velichko 3:8 in the qualifying stage.
Ali Mammadov, who competes in the 71 kg, defeated his opponent Vladimir Avakyan from Russia with a full advantage (10:0) and advanced to the 1/8 final stage.
Orkhan Habibli, competing in the 65 kg weight category, defeated Greek Dionisios Bulutidis 9:0 in the consolation match. With this result, he will fight for a bronze medal in the evening session.
