Tunar Hasanov, competing in the 45 kg category, lost to Ukrainian Marko Kvasniuk with a score of 0:2. Vahid Mammadov, competing in the 60 kg weight category, faced defeat against Polish Witold Pavlik based on the last point principle (1:1). Elgun Karimli, competing in the 92 kg category, also lost to Russian Abdurazak Shabanov with a score of 4:15.
