Azerbaijani shooter Ruslan Lunyov spoke about the joy of winning a silver medal at the European Championship held in Osijek, Croatia.
He said that he won a medal for the first time in the 25-meter pistol mixed team event.
"I am glad that we won a silver medal. It was the first time I won a medal in the 25-meter pistol event. I gained new experience, and I am happy about that. Our final fight was interesting. Unfortunately, the Czech representatives were more accurate in shooting. Zeynab Sultanova was in good shape. I started to believe that we had a chance to win a medal. It is gratifying that I was not mistaken in my thinking. Of course, it was impossible to say this for sure in advance," he said in an interview with report.az.
It should be noted that at the continental championship, the Azerbaijani women's team also won a bronze medal in the 25-meter standard pistol shooting. Nigar Nasirova, Zeynab Sultanova, and Khana Aliyeva demonstrated high accuracy, professionalism, and determination during the competition and rose to the podium.
