Azerbaijani beach wrestlers have prepared very well for the final stage of the World Series, which took place in Alexandria, Egypt.
According to "Report", Vusal Aliyev (80 kg), who won a gold medal in the tournament, told reporters about this at the welcoming ceremony in Baku.
He shared his thoughts about the competition:
"We prepared very well for this tournament. This year I participated in four stages of the World Series. I didn't return without a medal from any of them. It was the last final tournament. The final scores were determined here. I won because I scored the most points. I thank all my coaches. I will compete in this weight next year as well."
Sahib Dadashov (80 kg), who won a bronze medal in the final stage of the World Series, said that he was competing in an international competition for the first time:
"I was very responsible and excited. I think I will be more successful in the next tournaments. You have to work hard for that."
It should be noted that Azerbaijani representatives won 2 gold and 1 bronze medals in the competition. Ibrahim Yusubov (90 kg) and Vusal Aliyev (80 kg) won gold, and Sahib Dadashov (80 kg) won bronze.
