Abbas Huseynov wins bronze medal at Polish tournament

Azerbaijani junior fencer Abbas Huseynov won a bronze medal at the "Cadet Circuit" international tournament held in Konin, Poland. Sport24.az reports that Abbas, who finished the group stage with 4 wins, eliminated representatives of Great Britain, France, Germany and Romania in the play-offs in the individual competition of young male sabre fencers, and advanced to the semi-finals.

 

Abbas Huseynov lost to the tournament winner, Frenchman Gael Boujrad-Benaud, with a score of 14:15, one step away from the final.
