The traditional Great Silk Road international tournament continues in Baku. Sport24.az reports that the finalists among male boxers became known on the fifth day of the competition.
11 athletes from the Azerbaijani national team have made it to the decisive match. Eight of them will face each other in 4 weight categories.
Zidan Hunbatov, Mahammadali Gasimzade, Sarkhan Aliyev, Saidjamshid Jafarov, Rasim Chobanli, Hasan Osmani, Murad Allahverdiyev and Sabuhi Alizade, who lost in the semifinals, finished the tournament with a bronze medal. Thus, the number of bronze medals in our team's account has increased to 10. In the women's boxing competition, which ended today, Gunel Rahimova (51 kg) and Emili Rzayeva (65 kg) also finished the competition in 3rd place 1 day before.
It should be noted that the final fights of the Great Silk Road international tournament, held at the Boxing Center with the participation of 10 countries, will begin on April 7 at 13:00.
