Azerbaijani young fencer Abbas Huseynov won a bronze medal at the "Cadet Circuit" international tournament held in Konin, Poland. According to Sport24.az, Abbas, who finished the group stage with 4 wins, advanced to the semi-finals in the individual competition of young boys' sabre fencers, eliminating representatives of Great Britain, France, Germany, and Romania in the play-offs.
Abbas Huseynov lost to the tournament winner, Frenchman Gael Boujrad-Benaud, with a score of 14:15, one step away from the final.
