The Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association (EEVZA) championship for beach volleyball among girls and boys under 18 has started in Tsesis, Latvia.
Idman.biz reports that Azerbaijan is represented by two girls' and one boys' team in the competition, which includes teams from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Armenia, Georgia, and Ukraine.
The Ibrahim Mammadov - Muhammad Aslanli duo defeated the Latvian and Estonian national teams 2:0 in the group stage and advanced to the play-off stage. Our opponent in this stage will be the Lithuanian team.
Our girls' national teams stopped competing in the group stage.
It should be noted that the competition will end on July 3. The teams that take the first three places will qualify for the European Championship.
