Success and potential of Azerbaijani air badminton players in the European Championship

The Azerbaijani air badminton team has great potential.

This was stated by the head coach of the national team, Morteza Validarvi, in his statement to "Report".

He evaluated the results of his team at the European Air Badminton Championship held in Azerbaijan:

"The competition was held at a high level. Unfortunately, we lost to Germany in the final. We won a silver medal for the first time. It was an honor for us to wave the Azerbaijani flag. We showed that we have high potential. Air badminton is a different competition. Those who do not have a chance to get into the badminton national team come to air badminton. This is an opportunity for them. It's kind of like football. Like players who didn't get a chance in big football and moved to futsal. I think Azerbaijan can also win a medal at the World Championship".

He emphasized that the organization in Azerbaijan was highly appreciated:

"The World Badminton Federation thanked me as a coach. They said that I trained high-level athletes. Two years ago, 5 teams participated in this competition and we were fourth. This time, new and more professional teams were added. This competition was held on five continents. Azerbaijan was highly appreciated".

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team took second place, losing to Germany in the final match of the European Air Badminton Championship held in the European Games Park.
