Another Greco-Roman wrestler from Azerbaijan, Islam Abbasov (87 kg), won a medal at the European Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
According to "Report", the athlete won a bronze award.
Beka Kandelaki (130 kg) lost for third place.
It should be noted that Eldaniz Azizli (57 kg) previously won a silver medal.

Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) became the European champion, Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg) won silver, Islam Bazarganov (57 kg), Ali Rahimzade (65 kg), Kenan Heybatov (70 kg) and Aghanazar Novruzov (74 kg) won bronze medals.
The Azerbaijani national freestyle wrestling team became the European champion in the team standings. Among women, Jale Aliyeva (57 kg) won a bronze award.
The continental championship will end on April 13.
