Ipswich are close to signing Strasbourg defender Abdul Majeed Waris.

According to the source, the 20-year-old Ivorian will sign a five-year contract worth 20 million euros. His contract with the French club runs until June 30, 2029.
Waris has been playing for Strasbourg's main team since 2024. In the 2025/26 season, the defender scored four goals in 40 matches.
Transfermarkt values him at 15 million euros.
