The Azerbaijan national boxing team took first place in the team standings at the "Great Silk Road" international tournament held in Baku.
"Report" informs that the team won the cup of the competition with gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze medals.
The best boxer in the women's competition at the tournament was Zeynəb Rəhimova (Azerbaijan), and Vsevolod Shumkov (Russia) in the men's competition. Shahboz Yunusaliyev (Uzbekistan) was named the most persistent, and Zaal Javakhadze (Georgia) was named the best judge.
It should be noted that Zeynəb Rəhimova (52 kg), Aynur Rzayeva (+81 kg), Subhan Mammadov (48 kg), Nicat Huseynov (51 kg), Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg), Nabi Iskandarov (67 kg), Seyidcamshid Jafarov (75 kg) and Alfonso Domínguez (92 kg) rose to the highest step of the podium.
Marjona Savriyeva (50 kg), Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) and Mahammad Abdullayev (+92 kg) won silver medals.
Shamil Asgarov, Taghi Nasibov (both 60 kg), Ruslan Rustamov (63.5 kg), Mammad Guliyev (86 kg), Anahanim Ismayilova (48 kg), Bahriyya Ibrahimova (54 kg) and Aynur Mikayilova (57 kg) took third place.
