Three-time Olympian Rostislav Pevtsov competed in the World Long Distance Triathlon Championship in Pontevedra, Spain. Sport24.az reports that the athlete, who finished the race under the Azerbaijani flag after the Summer Games in Paris, took 9th place.
After the finish, Pevtsov admitted that he ran the longest distance in his life: "It was 3 km of swimming, 120 km of cycling and 30 km of running. The race is even longer than the Ironman half marathon. To be honest, I was very nervous before the start. I didn't know what to expect from the distance. As for the result, I'm not so happy, only 9th place, but I see progress and know who will move in which direction next".
