Para-swimmer Raman Salei, who won four medals at the World Championships in Singapore, said that he will properly represent Azerbaijan at the 2028 Paralympics.
Idman.biz reports that the 31-year-old athlete made a statement to "Report" about this.
He shared his thoughts on the World Cup, where he took the honorary podium four times: "Overall, I rate my performance well. But I always try to improve more. Because I always want it. Like every athlete, I went to the competition to win a medal. I was expecting to win three awards, but it became 4".
Salei also spoke about the Summer Paralympic Games to be held in the USA in 2028: "I can only say one thing about the goals. There are still three years until that tournament. Therefore, it is difficult to make a prediction. But I know one thing for sure, I will represent Azerbaijan properly".
It should be noted that Raman Salei finished the World Championship with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. The three-time Paralympic champion, competing in the S12 category, won gold in the 100m backstroke, silver in the 50m freestyle, bronze in the 100m butterfly and the same distance freestyle.
