Italian Debertolis died during an orienteering competition within the World Games held in China.
Lent.az reports that the athlete was found unconscious during the competition on August 8. He received emergency medical care, but died on August 12. The cause of the athlete's death has not been disclosed.
The 12th World Games in Chengdu, which began on August 7, will last until the 17th. The program includes 34 non-Olympic sports.
