A certificate was presented to the Ganja city administration regarding the selection of Ganja, which is preparing for the III CIS Games to be held in September, as the "Sports Capital" of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2025.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) that the event organized by the Ganja City Executive Power and MYS took place in the Heydar Aliyev Park-Complex.
Before the event, the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev was visited, and the dear memory of the great leader was commemorated with respect. After the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played, the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Exemplary performances of athletes in various sports were demonstrated in the distance from the Heydar Aliyev Center to the "Victory Arch". Then, a video dedicated to the National Salvation Day was presented.
It should be noted that the head of Ganja City Executive Power Niyazi Bayramov, the head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Elnur Mammadov and the deputy director of the Department of Cooperation in Public, Social and Humanitarian Spheres of the CIS Executive Committee Manuchehr Hojizoda spoke at the event. Afterwards, the certificate regarding Ganja's selection as the "Sports Capital" of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2025 was presented to the head of the city Executive Power, Niyazi Bayramov.
