Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation (ACRF) has established multifaceted cooperation with "Paddle Europe" (European Canoe Association - PEU).
According to the information provided to "Report" from ACRF, a document on mutual cooperation was signed between the parties, taking into account Azerbaijan's strategic geographical location, opportunities to host development-oriented activities, as well as the existing high level of cooperation between "Paddle Europe" (European Canoe Association - PEU) and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation.
Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, President of the International Canoe Federation Thomas Konietzko, President of the European Canoe Association Jan Zunqrana and Head of the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation Vugar Ahmadov participated in the signing ceremony. According to the document, by establishing the organization's office in Baku, the parties will cooperate in supporting Eastern Europe and developing countries, developing canoeing, as well as organizing international competitions and training camps in the Sarsang reservoir.
Also, infrastructure projects that will increase training opportunities in the region in the future may be considered. Taking into account the geographical position of Azerbaijan, the parties will explore the possibilities of strengthening relations between canoe sports communities in Europe and Asia. This cooperation will include joint training, coach and leadership education, participation in events and development of mutually compatible areas.
The parties will create a joint management body for effective coordination of cooperation and transparent decision-making. In this regard, it is planned to create a Joint Management Group consisting of an equal number of representatives from both sides.
