Azerbaijani representatives won 14 medals at the international regatta in kayak and canoe dedicated to June 1 - International Children's Day, held in Uralsk, Kazakhstan.
The Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation told "Report" about this.
Team members won 3 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze awards.
Ivan Vorobjanskiy won gold medals in both 200 and 500 meter races in a single kayak. Also, Elmir Tarverdiyev took 2nd place in 200 meters, and Mustafa Valizade took 3rd place in 500 meters.
In the 500-meter distance in a double kayak, the pair Ivan Vorobjanskiy – Vacib Babayev overtook all their rivals. The boat driven by Mustafa Valizade and Elmir Tarverdiyev finished second. Ivan Vorobjanskiy won a bronze medal together with a Russian athlete. In the 200-meter race, the Ivan Vorobjanskiy - Huseyn Hasanov duo took 2nd place, and Vacib Babayev and Nuran Rahimli climbed to the 3rd step of the podium.
In canoeing, Huseyn Samadli was among the prize-winners in 3 categories. He won a bronze medal in a single boat at 200 meters and a silver medal in a double boat. Huseyn Samadli was 3rd in a double boat at 500 meters.
